Vita Liberata NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse Review

Vita Liberata NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse Review
So Christmas is over and we are all feeling a little over stuffed and down in the dumps. The January blues have really set in. I am feeling particularly pale and pastey; the idea of exposing my flesh any time soon fills me with dread!

I have been a loyal follower of the James Read (read here) tanning religion for a number of years, so when Vita Liberata asked me to try out their new NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse* I was keen to give something new a go. NKD SKN is a collection of 5 products aimed to get you glowing this spring without the biscuit smell. The Tinted Tan Mousse comes in 2 shades; Medium and Dark. I have the shade Medium which was perfect for me and my blue toned skin.

What they say: Glides like velvet over the skin, giving a gorgeous bronze tan that is odourless and fades without patching. Natural extracts will give you super soft skin for a totally flawless finish. Lasts up to 7 days.

What I say: I started with a bath to exfoliate away any dull skin and patted the skin dry. Using the Vita Liberata Mitt I applied the NKD SNK Tinted Tan Mousse onto the orange foamy side and in circular motions buffed the product into my skin.  I love mousse products, they feel light and seem to dry a lot quicker than other liquid tans. The bottle has a pump dispenser so it was easy to control the amount of product on the mitt. It was also handy having some tint to use as a guide and spot any parts I missed.

Now when I first applied the product I was really pleased that there wasn't a smell; it didn't really smell of anything to be honest. As time went on I could smell a tiny bit of a biscuit smell, but it was very faint and almost unnoticeable. I also loved that the tan dried pretty much instantly and I could put my clothes straight on with next to zero transfer. The colour is really natural with only a couple of layers, but this deepened with time and more product could be applied if you fancy a deeper colour.

I also really like that it is organic and contains ingredients like Aloe Vera, Raspberry, Melon and Liquorice; so it is soothing and good for the skin without too many chemical ingredients. If you like a light fake tan with an even streak-free finish then this is the one for you! I am really impressed with this tan and will definitely be repurchasing and be my go to for 2015.

As a special treat, until the 2nd of February 2015 Vita Liberata are offering Pixi Picks readers 45% off their products! I am sure pound's are tight after Christmas so this will help you get your glow on without breaking the bank. So get yourself over there and use the code PIXIPICKS45 and snap up this amazing offer!

What do you think? Fancy giving this a go?

Stay beautiful
xoxo
